BNV : সেই সময় শৌল সবে এক বছর রাজা হয়েছেন| ইস্রায়েলের ওপর দু-বছর রাজত্ব করবার পর,
KJV : Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,
YLT : A son of a year [is] Saul in his reigning, yea, two years he hath reigned over Israel,

KJV : Saul chose him three thousand [men] of Israel; [whereof] two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.
YLT : and Saul chooseth for himself three thousand [men] out of Israel; and two thousand are with Saul in Michmash, and in the hill-country of Beth-El; and a thousand have been with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin; and the remnant of the people he hath sent each to his tents.

ESV : Saul chose three thousand men of Israel. Two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and the hill country of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin. The rest of the people he sent home, every man to his tent.
ERVEN : he chose 3000 men from Israel. There were 2000 men who stayed with him at Micmash in the hill country of Bethel. There were 1000 men who stayed with Jonathan at Gibeah in Benjamin. Saul sent the other men in the army back home.

BNV : য়োনাথন গেবা শিবিরে পলেষ্টীয়দের প্রধান সেনাপতিকে হত্যা করল| এখবর শুনে পলেষ্টীয়রা বলল, “ইব্রীযেরা বিদ্রোহ করেছে|”শৌল বলল, “কি হয়েছে ইব্রীযেরা শুনুক|” শৌল তার লোকদের বলল সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলে তারা শিঙা বাজিযে দিক|
KJV : And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that [was] in Geba, and the Philistines heard [of it.] And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.
YLT : And Jonathan smiteth the garrison of the Philistines which [is] in Geba, and the Philistines hear, and Saul hath blown with a trumpet through all the land, saying, `Let the Hebrews hear.`

ERVEN : Jonathan defeated the Philistines at their camp in Geba. The Philistines heard about this. They said, "The Hebrews have rebelled." Saul said, "Let the Hebrew people hear what happened." So Saul told the men to blow trumpets through all the land of Israel.

BNV : ইস্রায়েলীয়রা খবরটা শুনল| তারা বলল, “শৌল পলেষ্টীয় নেতাকে হত্যা করেছে| এবার পলেষ্টীয়রা সত্যিই ইস্রায়েলীয়দের ঘৃণা করবে!”ইস্রায়েলীয়দের বলা হল, তারা যেন গিল্গলে শৌলের সঙ্গে য়োগ দেয|
KJV : And all Israel heard say [that] Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and [that] Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.
YLT : And all Israel have heard, saying, `Saul hath smitten the garrison of the Philistines,` and also, `Israel hath been abhorred by the Philistines;` and the people are called after Saul to Gilgal.

ERVEN : All the Israelites heard the news. They said, "Saul has killed the Philistine leader. Now the Philistines will really hate the Israelites!" The Israelites were called to join Saul at Gilgal.

KJV : And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which [is] on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Beth- aven.
YLT : And the Philistines have been gathered to fight with Israel; thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and a people as the sand which [is] on the sea-shore for multitude; and they come up and encamp in Michmash, east of Beth-Aven.

ESV : And the Philistines mustered to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots and six thousand horsemen and troops like the sand on the seashore in multitude. They came up and encamped in Michmash, to the east of Beth-aven.
ERVEN : The Philistines gathered to fight Israel. The Philistines camped at Micmash, east of Beth Aven. They had 3000 chariots and 6000 horse soldiers. There were so many Philistines that they were like sand on the seashore.

BNV : ইস্রায়েলীয়রা দেখল তারা বিপদের মুখে| ফাঁদে পড়েছে বলে মনে হল তাদের| তারা পালিয়ে গিয়ে গুহায়, পাহাড়ের ফাঁকে ফোকরে লুকিয়ে রইল| লুকিয়ে রইল কুযোয, মাটির ভেতরে যে কোন গর্তের মধ্যে|
KJV : When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.
YLT : And the men of Israel have seen that they are distressed, that the people hath been oppressed, and the people hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.

ERVEN : The Israelites saw that they were in trouble. They felt trapped. They ran away to hide in caves and cracks in the rock. They hid among the rocks, in wells, and in other holes in the ground.

BNV : কিছু ইব্রীয যর্দন নদী পেরিযে গাদ আর গিলিয়দের দিকেও চলে গেল| শৌল তখনও গিল্গলে| তার সৈন্যরা সবাই ভয়ে কাঁপছে|
KJV : And [some of] the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he [was] yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
YLT : And Hebrews have passed over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead; and Saul [is] yet in Gilgal, and all the people have trembled after him.
RV : Now some of the Hebrews had gone over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead; but as for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
RSV : or crossed the fords of the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. Saul was still at Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.

ERVEN : Some Hebrews even went across the Jordan River to the land of Gad and Gilead. Saul was still at Gilgal. All the men in his army were shaking with fear.

BNV : শমূয়েল বলল যে সে গিল্গলে শৌলের সঙ্গে দেখা করবে| শৌল তার জন্যে সাতদিন অপেক্ষা করে রইল| কিন্তু শমূয়েল তবুও গিল্গলে এল না| সৈন্যরা শৌলকে ছেড়ে চলে যেতে লাগল|
KJV : And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel [had appointed:] but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
YLT : And he waiteth seven days, according to the appointment with Samuel, and Samuel hath not come to Gilgal, and the people are scattered from off him.

BNV : তখন শৌল বলল, “আমার কাছে হোমবলি ও মঙ্গল নৈবেদ্যগুলি এনে দাও|” তারপর শৌল সেই হোমবলি উত্সর্গ করল|
KJV : And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.
YLT : And Saul saith, `Bring nigh unto me the burnt-offering, and the peace-offerings;` and he causeth the burnt-offering to ascend.
RV : And Saul said, Bring hither the burnt offering to me, and the peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.

BNV : শৌলের হোমবলি উত্সর্গ করা শেষ করতেই শমূয়েল এল| শৌল তার সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলেন|
KJV : And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
YLT : And it cometh to pass at his completing to cause the burnt-offering to ascend, that lo, Samuel hath come, and Saul goeth out to meet him, to bless him;

KJV : And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and [that] thou camest not within the days appointed, and [that] the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
YLT : and Samuel saith, `What hast thou done?` And Saul saith, `Because I saw that the people were scattered from off me, and thou hadst not come at the appointment of the days, and the Philistines are gathered to Michmash,
RV : And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines assembled themselves together at Michmash;
RSV : Samuel said, "What have you done?" And Saul said, "When I saw that the people were scattering from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines had mustered at Michmash,

ERVEN : Samuel asked, "What have you done?" Saul answered, "I saw the soldiers leaving me. You were not here on time, and the Philistines were gathering at Micmash.

BNV : তখন আমি মনে মনে বললাম, ‘পলেষ্টীয়রা এখানে আসবে| ওরা গিল্গলে আমাকে আক্রমণ করবে| এখনও আমি প্রভুর কাছে সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করি নি| তাই অবশেষে আমি নিজেই জোর করে হোমবলি উত্সর্গ করেছি|”‘
KJV : Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
YLT : and I say, Now do the Philistines come down unto me to Gilgal, and the face of Jehovah I have not appeased; and I force myself, and cause the burnt-offering to ascend.`
RV : therefore said I, Now will the Philistines come down upon me to Gilgal, and I have not entreated the favour of the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered the burnt offering.
RSV : I said, `Now the Philistines will come down upon me at Gilgal, and I have not entreated the favor of the LORD'; so I forced myself, and offered the burnt offering."
ASV : therefore said I, Now will the Philistines come down upon me to Gilgal, and I have not entreated the favor of Jehovah: I forced myself therefore, and offered the burnt-offering.
ESV : I said, 'Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the favor of the LORD.' So I forced myself, and offered the burnt offering."
ERVEN : I thought to myself, 'The Philistines will come here and attack me at Gilgal, and I haven't asked the Lord to help us yet. So I forced myself to offer the burnt offering.'"

BNV : শমূয়েল বলল, “খুব বোকামি করেছ! তুমি তোমার প্রভু ঈশ্বরের কথা শোন নি| তাঁর আদেশ শুনলে তিনি তোমাদের পরিবারকে চিরকাল ইস্রাযেলকে শাসন করতে দিতেন|
KJV : And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
YLT : And Samuel saith unto Saul, `Thou hast been foolish; thou hast not kept the command of Jehovah thy God, which He commanded thee, for now had Jehovah established thy kingdom over Israel unto the age;
RV : And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
RSV : And Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which he commanded you; for now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel for ever.
ASV : And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
ESV : And Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the command of the LORD your God, with which he commanded you. For then the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.
ERVEN : Samuel said, "You did a foolish thing. You did not obey the Lord your God. If you had obeyed God's command, he would have let your family rule Israel forever.

BNV : কিন্তু এখন আর তোমার রাজত্ব স্থির থাকবে না| প্রভু এমনই একজনকে খুজছিলেন যে তাঁর কথা শুনবে| তিনি সেই লোক পেয়ে গেছেন| তিনি তাঁর প্রজাদের উপর নতুন নেতা হিসেবে তাকেই মনোনীত করেছেন| তুমি প্রভুর কথার বাধ্য হও নি বলেই তিনি নতুন নেতা নির্বাচন করেছেন|”
KJV : But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him [to be] captain over his people, because thou hast not kept [that] which the LORD commanded thee.
YLT : and, now, thy kingdom doth not stand, Jehovah hath sought for Himself a man according to His own heart, and Jehovah chargeth him for leader over His people, for thou hast not kept that which Jehovah commanded thee.`
RV : But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath appointed him to be prince over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
RSV : But now your kingdom shall not continue; the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart; and the LORD has appointed him to be prince over his people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you."
ASV : But now thy kingdom shall not continue: Jehovah hath sought him a man after his own heart, and Jehovah hath appointed him to be prince over his people, because thou hast not kept that which Jehovah commanded thee.
ESV : But now your kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought out a man after his own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be prince over his people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you."
ERVEN : But now your kingdom won't continue. The Lord was looking for a man who wants to obey him. He has found that man—and the Lord has chosen him to be the new leader of his people, because you didn't obey his command."

BNV : এই বলে শমূয়েল উঠে দাঁড়াল এবং গিল্গল থেকে চলে গেল|বাকি সৈন্যদের নিয়ে শৌল গিল্গল ছেড়ে বিন্যামীনের গিবিয়ায় চলে গেলেন| শৌল মাথা গুনে দেখলেন তাঁর সঙ্গে রযেছে প্রায 600 জন|
KJV : And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people [that were] present with him, about six hundred men.
YLT : And Samuel riseth, and goeth up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin; and Saul inspecteth the people who are found with him, about six hundred men,
RV : And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.

ERVEN : Then Samuel got up and left Gilgal. Saul and the rest of his army left Gilgal and went to Gibeah in Benjamin. Saul counted the men who were still with him. There were about 600.

BNV : শৌল, তাঁর পুত্র য়োনাথন এবং সৈন্যরা বিন্যামীনের গিবিয়াতে গেল|পলেষ্টীয়রা মিক্মসে তাঁবু গেড়েছিল|
KJV : And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people [that were] present with them, abode in Gibeah of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.

KJV : And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way [that leadeth to] Ophrah, unto the land of Shual:
YLT : And the destroyer goeth out from the camp of the Philistines -- three detachments; the one detachment turneth unto the way of Ophrah, unto the land of Shual;

ERVEN : There were no blacksmiths in Israel. The Philistines would not allow them because they were afraid the Israelites would make iron swords and spears.
